From 1 October 2025, Latrobe Health Services will participate in AHSA's Access Gap Cover (AGC) scheme.
Latrobe Health Services, one of AHSA's member funds, is an Australian-owned not-for-profit health insurer with more than 95,000 members across Australia.
Key information for doctors
We have pulled together key information for you and your practice to make the transition as easy as possible.
Start date
AGC applies to services on or after 1 October 2025 for Latrobe members.
For services provided before 1 October 2025, Latrobe's previous Gap Cover scheme benefits and rules apply.
Registration
If you are already registered with AHSA’s AGC scheme, no further action is needed. AHSA will share your details with Latrobe Health Services to enable you to start submitting claims under AGC for Latrobe members from the start date.
For any future updates to your bank, provider or contact details for Latrobe members, use the appropriate AGC form on the AHSA Website.
Informed Financial Consent (IFC)
As per AGC rules, IFC is required only when a patient has an out-of-pocket gap (see AGC Billing Guide, p.11).
Product eligibility
All Latrobe Health Services' hospital products qualify for AGC benefits.
Claiming AGC benefits
ECLIPSE is the preferred way for submitting simplified billing medical claims for Latrobe members.
- Fund ID: LHS
- Minor ID: HSL00397
We encourage all providers to use ECLIPSE to submit simplified billing claims, but accept paper claims. All AGC benefits are the same regardless of the claim submission method.
